IMS are delighted to be heading to mainland Europe for the 11th Annual Conference of the International Investigative Interviewing Research Group, taking place in Porto, Portugal, over the 4 – 6 July 2018.

Joining academics and investigative interviewing practitioners for what will be our 5th conference as iIIRG co-sponsors, IMS are delighted to announce that at the conference the results of pilot trials of the TILES System® software by two UK police forces are due to be published. The curent pilot, conducted by researchers from the UK’s Newcastle University, will build on other user trials and are anticipated to reveal early adopter insights about the software’s potential utility as a digital policing tool. Feedback todate has been incredibly exciting, with one UK Detective remarking:Digital policing is now a major focus of the UK government and police forces are being encouraged to innovate and develop smarter and more productive ways of working. Investigative interviewing is one of the last areas within law enforcement to be disrupted, but the arrival of the TILES System® spells the end of the inefficiences associated with the traditional paper-based workflow of investigative interviewers. If you are at the iIIRG conference in Porto this summer, be sure to stop-by the IMS exhibitor’s stand and find out more about the future of investigative interviewing.
